Question quick connectors for fuel tanks

I see these metal(better than plastic duc part) quick fuel connectors. Seems like the threaded holes in my 748 tank (in/out) are 12mm and the connectors threads are 14mm. What's up with that. Thanks Al

You're not trying switch your tank over to QD's, are you?

If you are, you'll need to get a tank plate that is made for QD's. Putting QD's on a metal-line tank plate isn't a direct swap.

You can get QD tank plates off of ebay for pretty cheap.

Not to thread-jack, but in a related note...is there anywhere other than a dealer (like someplace online) to get the OEM quick connectors? And how much would a Duc dealer charge for them?
