Need factory ride height spec

I am the second owner of a 2002 748S. I have a factory manual and Haynes. Just can't find the factory spec for the ride height setting. The bike has a larger sprocket on the rear. So I am thinking the eccentric hub has been adjsted for chain tension which I guess would change the ride height distance? Just want a factory starting setting be fore I get creative.

I"m thinking that measurement would be about worthless without the factory ride height tool/gauge. Do you have one; could make you popular?

BTW; please fill out your profile so we all know where to come borrow that gauge.

Same here but the factory ride height; as I understand it; is given from a point on the fame and about the only way its of any use is if you have the factory tool. At least that is my understanding. If I'm wrong please; instruct me.

Hope that didn't sound cocky; it isn't ment to be; I'm all about learning something new here

Great help

Thanks for the Section8 article. It really made sense..No I don't have the factory tool but found 2 brothers in the Armed Services that have access to a machine shop. They are making me a ride height tool as we speak. Cost is less than $100 and made alot stronger!
