Not sure if anyone has seen my post on the SF forum. I am working, or rather doing some minor work in helping a fellow board member in putting the DDA to good use. The goal is to take the DDA runfile and make it useable in a program from TrackVision. TrackVision takes ANY data logger file (that is of normal file format) and lets you marry it to ANY video recorder. The recorded of choice has been the GoProHD and a few others of course.
Anyway, the software syncs the data file with the video file, then overlays a custom dash with any or all of the data. The end result is...
There is still alot of work to be done by the man from down under, but what he has done is simply incredible. No longer does the DDA have to be that "thing" you used once or twice. It can now be used for practical things like trackdays or epic rides that either have you curious as to what was going on with the bike.
There could be a need for some people to help out. The goal is to have the software that transcodes the DDA Runfile work on many bikes. Some of the bikes are not putting out the same file, so each bike must have something custom written into the software.
TrackVision is a mere $150, if you already have a GoPro and the DDA, you are THAT close to being there! Don't run out and purchase TrackVision though, the software that transcodes the DDA Runfiles is not finished... but there is a need for certain bikes' DDA runfiles along with particular information about the bike and any settings that may need interpretation. He may try to handle this locally, but JIC he needs data files... feel free to just reply "Hell Yeah" with some bike info and I'll let him know.
