999RS wheels fit standard 999?
Anyone out there know if 999RS wheels/Rims will fit the stock 999 front forks and rear swingarm?
If not what does one need to do to get them to fit?
Asking for a friend who has a great deal on a pair of rims from a 999RS pending solution for an -05 999s.
Thickness of axles?
Brakedisc offsets?

The rear axel is a different size for sure... I'm not sure about the front, but I do know the FGK's don't use a standard axel size, but they do offer a smaller size.
I thought I had RS wheels on my 749R because they were the same size, but after doing some research I found the RS wheels were different... suck.

Unfortunately for your friend, amullo, I believe Ben and Tye are right. The front wheel is meant for wide-track bikes and I'm guessing the quick release mechanism of the 999F06 rear wheel isn't compatible with a stock wheel (and vice versa).
I can't say for sure regarding the rear wheel but perhaps you can tell by looking at these pictures...

Anders, I would think you could make the front fit. A spacer for the wheel bearings or put in special bearings, then try and work out the brake disc offset issue either with aftermarket discs or a spacer.
I am not sure about the rear. I would guess you will need the complete wheel with carrier and sprocket. Making it fit should be doable. You will definitely need wheel spacers left and right and maybe a proper brake hanger plate to fit the bigger rear brake cylinder. Plus the RS disc is smaller in diameter.
I will try and find the parts manual so we can have a look. It doesn´t come with dimensions though.

The rear axel won't fit through the standard swing arm. I've held a corse swing arm and was amazed at how large the opening for the axel was.
The other problem is, with the 6.5" corse wheel, you would run 200/205 profile tires, which is great and all, but you'll hit the chain. I ran 200's and all of my tires had marks from hitting the chain on them. I can't imagine running a 205, which just proves again how much different the corse arm is. I suggest looking around for a corse arm, as its a worthy upgrade for sure.
As ben said, the front you can make work, its just a matter of finding the right axel/rotor combination.

6.5"
It should be max. 16.5"x6.25". I had one of those for my 955 (sssa of course) and it wasn´t a whole lot wider than a 180 tyre on a 6" wheel.
Check out pictures and measurements here:
Der Vergleich: 16,5″ und 17″ Felgen auf Ducati 916 - Ducati 748, 916, 996, 998
As for the rear axle, use the stock axle and different wheel bearings.
Anders: how much is the guy asking? Just to put the whole thing into perspective.
