Well I have been out of it for a while now and not have as much time as I wanted to finish the bike before Thanksgiving. However, I am planning on riding it this weekend!!!! I just have to finish up the wiring harness which is 95% done. I have to say that making up wiring harnesses are a pain in the butt to make up!
I had to make up my own headlight bracket to attach the headlight to the bike and came up with using the existing fairing stay bracket. I made some spacers out of alum tubing and cut it to the right length. Now that I have it where I want I am going to pull everything apart and get it painted black.
I was able to place everything behind the headlight and use part of the headlight bracket to mount the plug connections, relays, etc... there which turned out to be a pretty good spot.
I have since installed a new Mosfet 0012 rectifier and hooked it up and mounted on the RH side of the front cylinder. Thing works great so far and should prevent any future problems.
I also added a set of Rizoma handlebars to get things going in the riding position arena. I'll let you know how comfortable they are after riding it.
Now the problem that I am having righ tnow is the fact that we are moving next weekend so I have to get cracking on finishing up a few things, but it will be rideable by this weekend. I can't wait!!!!
I'll post more when I get chance.
Thanks,
David

Update!
Where to start.....I have done a few new things to the bike over the last couple of weeks. I ended up having one of my forks start leaking and thought about the cost of doing it myself or sending them to someone. Then I found a really good deal on some 848 forks and jumped ship to do the whole front end conversion. As you can see I ended up doing it and with selling almost all my old parts I broke even on the deal.
The translogic dash is almost sorted out and for some odd reason the RPM's are jumping around after I set it up. I think there is a lose connection of some sort either in the dash itself or the connectors b/c when I shake it or squeeze the connectors together it works fine. All my connections are sodered and heat shrinked. That is on the to do list at the moment.
I had everything finished on the conversion of the front end but I didn't bother to notice that the 848 calipers have a bleeder on the banjo bolt and mine did not come with them. So I need to get some from somewhere quick beacuse I want to ride this thing again.
The next big step is going to be paint. I am torn right now if I should paint it back Ducati Red or go with my original idea of "red frame, black everything else". However, the red is starting to grow on me so if you all would let me know what you think on a paint scheme.
Take some time and look at the tail a little b/c I think that it sits a little flat. I want to bring it up a bit. It just looks like there is something wrong with it. I am thinking of cutting a small section out of the top mounts of the subframe to shorten it and raise the tail up a little.
I'm not looking forward to doing this b/c this means removing everything from the tail section etc....
I am pondering installing an 848/1098 swingarm b/c I came across one for cheap and picked it up and now thinking of the posibilities of doing this. We will see for now. I may just keep it for a future project
Here are a few pictures to let you all know how things are shaping.

Thanks, thats is what I am trying to do now but seem to run into some small little issues here and there.
I really would like to add a set of triple clamps with the handle bar mounts already built into them. I am looking to find a stock set of streetfighter clamps for Showa forks at the moment but no luck or miss match a set with an 848 lower and monster or hyper upper with the same offset.
Constantly searching for ways to make it work.

I think the air intakes would have looked better if you would have cut them at an angle that matched the front forks

I was going to do that, but I may end up riding in the rain and didn't want to invite water into the air intakes as much as possible.

The bike looks great IMO but I think that the swingarm looks a little short with that long tail... Maybe that 848 one would fix that?
My vote for paint is red frame, black everything else, but with some white detailing thrown in, to break it up a little. Red is nice, but a little standard for a bike as custom as this.

Update time
Things have been pretty slow on my end in regards to the bike. I recently started a new job and had to go out of town for some training and certifications but now I am back home starting to get into the groove of things once again.
With that being said there were a few things that changed my mind on the bike that I am now going to do.
1. I purchased a streetfighter subframe and tail section that I am going to install and ditch the 848 tail and subframe. I decided to do this after staring at the bike one day and saw that it was to long for the bike and didn't look right on the naked bike. If I keep the fairings on then It may have looked better.
2. Now by putting the SF tail on I am going to have to rework the exhaust. I really like the DoubleDog moto one but that is way to expensive to cut and retrofit onto my bike. I do really like the look of the single pipe termi system for the SF but I will need to find the pipe and make everything else.
3. This engine really needs a good tune and this is the next step that I would like to go to clear up the 3K-4.5K rpm bucking.
Gotta love projects....
I'll post some pictures next time.
