848 battery cable and 30 amp fuse?
Got an upgraded battery cable kit.
The stock positive cable has two wires coming from the terminal, one of which goes to the 30 amp fuse right next to the battery box.
The replacement positive cable is a single lead, with no provisions for the fuse (see photo).
Hmm... Cut off the line to the fuse and crimp a new ring-connector on?

Yep, gotta have the fuse else melt-down-city if the regulator fries, which they often do.

The new cables just piggyback the stock ones. Do not cut anything

If this is the Motoelectric kit, their website has instructions posted with a large amount of pictures.

I had the same issue when I installed the Motolectic kit. You will completely replace the cable from the solenoid to the starter motor. However, you will need to retain the stock postive & negative battery cables. For the positive side (red side) first place the stock cable on the bettery & then the motolectric cable on top of it. However on the solenoid side, you will first place the motolectric cable directly to the terminal & then the stock cable on the top of it. You will want to do the same for the negative battery cable as well (black side)
