Multistrada 1200 Real Review

Here's a real review of the Multi 1200...

http://www.ashonbikes.com/content/du...-multistrada-s

This review just makes me drool with anticipation! I may just down a bottle of sleeping tablets and go into hibernation until my Touring model arrives!

My signature says it all (but it's hard to see on a light background!). I'm going with WHITE.

The writer really pushed the GS comparison, I thought the new Multi was going to remain a road bike. I think the writer either doesn't know its a road bike or he was told by Ducati its now a bike just like the GS. I've always felt you could slap a set of knobbies on the old Multi if you wanted to do some off road exploring. What role does it play? The more its pushed as a GS bike the more I get turned off by it.

Excellent choice, I selected white also. Now I will try to get a Termi slip-on to it at delivery but they seems hard to get....
I will remove the center stand and change the windscreen to a lower one, possible to one in white if I can find one (or in cf)...

I do like the look of the Termi slip-on, but I suspect it won't work for me. The slip-on is significantly wider than the stock pipes and includes a heat shield where it connects to the pipes. I'm pretty sure it will kick my right heel out way too far to be comfortable! I have the same problem on the Streetfighter. The exhaust sticks out too much.

The full Termi kit would probably work. The muffler is long and thin and doesn't have the heat shield. However, I've always been a big fan of Remus pipes. All my bikes have had Remus pipes. If I don't cave in and get the full Termi kit, I'll probably stick with the stock pipes until Remus come out with a kit for the Multi 1200.

They should stop comparing it with the GS. It's leagues ahead of it

The new Multi is almost 40lbs less heavy and has about 40hp more than a GS.

Enough with the comarison talk!
