I have now found out it going round all the dealers-solus dealers will have it for 2 days mostly at weekends, dealers who do other makes as well have it for 1 day.
I should give M & S a call to find out when it's there.

funny you should say that I had M+S ring me this afternoon saying the bike will be in their shop from 2pm till 5pm next thursday.
Cant see many people turning out on a cold wet thursday afternoon TBH but maybe they have rang around others that havent yet paid a deposit but have expressed an interest?
I might pop over as I would like to see what the panniers look like close up as Ive ordered a touring one.

Been to dealer today. They have been told to tell their customers the first shipment of Multis will arrive LATE MAY!!!
Im gutted really, but typically italian I suppose.
He did say I can buy a bike now and he will take it back when I get my new multi. (probably minus a few quid no doubt)

Been and had a REALLY good look at the white touring model today at the roadshow thing.
I have now changed my order to the white one.
The white looks very plain on the pics we have seen when in reality it is the same pearl as the rest of the range and looks absolutely fantastic on the multi.

One thing that stands out under close inspection was the quality of all the black plastic parts. OK this is pre-production but the plastic they use is really really nasty!!! It looks like cheap Chinese stuff, looks very brittle.
The 2 panniers and the top box were already smashed to pieces (by the courier seemingly?) The plastic on these also looked really nasty too and I would be very wary when we plan our 1st trip away as I can see the 2 shitty little hooks that secure the panniers snapping under load/vibration. The panniers look really sexy but in reality they feel like shit and I am sure Ducati will have come backs on these. They look they have made them as cheaply as possible.

The centre stand looks well up to the job tho but the heated grips are not integrated and the wires hang down and TBH you would be better just buying a set of oxford £50 jobbies instead.

The display bike had the optional low seat. This is beautifully made and is the most comfortable bike I have ever sat on (for me). The seat is very very wide and would even suit a BMW rider. (fat fucker)... The display bike also had the larger screen on it and it is tinted too making the bike look MUCH better from the front.

This has made me think that the best option is buy a Sport model and just add the centrestand, oxford heated grips and some GOOD quality aftermarket panniers like Givvy or something?

All in all I would say the bike looks beautiful and no-doubt will go well too but in no way is this a competitor to a bmw. The quality of BMW is on another planet compared to this. (sorry for that but I am used to BMW's).

PS, I'm not fat tho
