Ducati Teases the New Multistrada 1200
Ducati today launched a new website teasing the impending launch of the 2010 Ducati Multistrada 1200. At various times thought to be called Strada Aperta, it appears Ducati has now decided on the Multistrada name for the new adventure touring model. More Details and the video here

I was wondering who was going to have it posted here first, I just saw this too. Keeping my fingers crossed that this thing will be a sweet ride. I'm looking to replace the st4 in the next year or so and its starting to come down to this and the new Honda VFR1200f so I am hoping Ducati made this thing right......I guess we will know a little more in 10 days. Wish I was a moto-journalist traveling to Eicma in a week........

Beware the beak!!!
It would be cool if the signals were LEDs though. They kind of looked like that in the teaser vid.
Gotta say, I'm suspicious of the snout. In some of the uncamo pics it looks like a screw on or bolt on. Maybe to lead people down the wrong path? Maybe it is only for certain versions of the bike?
I also think the headlights are a little too slanted down. Remind me of the 'bug eyes' on the newest R6, but maybe they will look different in person.

sending my dealer $500 to hold a red one for me.
it's hard to think of how they could ruin what i think is the best motorcycle Ducati produces. the uglier the better. it will be a great ride, you heard it here first!

Don't be suspicious of the 'snout'. Just try not to stand in front of the Multistrada 1200 while you're riding it and you should be OK!
Beak or not, I'm all over this bike when it comes out. I know how good the current Multi is and I'll be very surprised if the new one takes a step backwards in ride and handling.

Yep, I think you'd have to be a contortionist t look a the front of the bike while riding it. The Testastretta Evoluzione is a fantastic piece of machinery. Could this be the bike to replace the good old ST2? Hmmm.

I'm sorry to hear that. It's nothing that a new shiny Multistrada 1200 can't fix though.
