DMS and Sena Headset update!

Folks,

I've continued to work with Sena to understand why the remote volume control won't work with the Multistrada. The following is the last response I received from Sena!

Paul, Apr 10, 8:54 AM PDT:
Hello,

Thank you so much for contacting sena tech.
We have seen that this issue is urgent, and we felt the need to reply the soonest that we can. We regret to let you know that the Bluetooth version of the SMH10R is not capable of remotely controlling of you audio system, for it only run's with BT version 3.0 which doesn't have the remote action capabilities.

Hope we have satisfied you inquiry.
At your service,

Paul

I'm using a sena 20 and I phone 6. phone and headset paired to bike. phone not paired to headset. I just changed my phone setting to respond to hey Siri so I'm hoping that helps control things. I am able to pause by holding down button 4 and skip to next track by pushing button 4 but no volume control with 1&2. unless someone has a trick to this I will be using the wheel on sena or Siri. the wheel is actually pretty fast. I'm also able to stream Apple Music which opens up a lot of possibilities with Siri

Same boat as most other people replying. I have a 20S and it didn't play nice. Gave up on Ducati System and just paired the 20s directly to my phone.

I may have to do the same. Although I think a touch screen GPS is going to be the way I control everything in the future and forget the Ducati buttons.

Same here. My Sena 20s links very quickly to my Iphone and I don't see any value at all in using the Duc bluetooth. In fact it slows things down.

The Ducati entertainment system does use 8hp.

Well, it all went to hell. Went for a ride with a couple buddies yesterday and the bike's entertainment controls stopped working entirely. We never could pair G9x's- finally locking mine up so that it wouldn't power off no matter which or how many buttons I hit. Sigh.

FWIW

I'm using Uclear HBC200 with no issues using the buttons on the bike to control media playback and answer calls etc. Don't use Sena cos I don't like the mike in front.
