2016 1200S value on insurance total loss

$ 17,770.56 4339 mile 2016 1200S w/ Touring pack. They forgot to ask the panniers, I'll likely sell those later on.

Still unlikely I'll get another bike, but we'll see. Crash happened so fast with such serious trauma that it's sapped my confidence. For now.

Yeah, give those thoughts some time. Just focus on the recovery for now. Best wishes.

My crash was fast and unexpected, i didn't get the damage you did, but got hurt enough, i also had a very bad crash when i was 19, and spent along time in hospital, that crash wasn't my fault, but it put me off riding for 15 years, I've now been back riding for 22 years, looking back, i wish id gotten back into riding earlier, why? because I've leant its my passion, its where i feel I'm able to get the best out of life. but time is short, life is short, i can only suggest take time, look at how you miss motorcycling, and if you don't miss it, well theres plenty of other hobbies to do, but not all are safer. Good luck Bon.

Garage
At first i was saying that seems a little low, but then I realized most of the cost above that is taxes and crap.

Hope you're feeling better.

Almost had an off on some gravel but that cornering ABS saved my tail

If you haven't settled yet with insurance dont forget to check if your gear is covered. my buddy wreaked out on a low side, total loss and all his gear (almost 1k worth) was covered at original cost because he had the receipts and it was less then a year old so check your policy.

So what happened here? What did you learn? Watching the front fork dive, I can see you were hard on the brakes 10s before your get-off, when going into a right hand sweeper. It looks like you stayed on the brakes right on through the apex and then got into trouble with the upcoming left turn. Why didn't you get off the brakes and just lean it over some more? What's the lesson here? Inquiring minds want to know.
