2017 MTS Airbox upgrade available for 15/16?

The 2017 DVT has an improvement that may or may not be available - does anyone know if it is available for 15/16 owners. It would be nice to address the pause at about 5000 RPM without spending 1000's on an exhaust. Below an excerpt from Ducati on the new 17.

Now,
thanks to a different airbox in the intake
section and a remapped engine setting, the
twin-cylinder Testastretta DVT’s mid-range
delivery is even more torquey while the
stunning Volcano Grey colour, paired with
a red frame and black wheel rims, adds a
further touch of exclusivity to the 1200 S

Do you really want to know the answer?
If they offer that upgrade I will not sell my bike for the next 10 years! And my next bike will be a brand new Ducati! I swear!

Assuming it actually DOES help midrange (without hurting top end) I'd be in line for it.

Well, mark me down as interested, for what it's worth. My interest was piqued back when they said this was a TSB upgrade, but so far that hasn't happened.

This is interesting. I would guess that the airbox can be replaced with the 2017 -model, but is it enough? I think it needs the new remap also and that might be the difficult one.

Yes as per announcement. Not sure why there is no mention of this upgrade coming or not coming yet

So, I think the odds that this will happen, and ducati will do for free are near 100%. My thinking is that I just installed a QD full exhaust, and the Rexxer ECU map for my setup. Since I did this last week, Murphy's law says something wonderful for free will now become available. And I'll have to erase my Rexxer map. It was included with the exhaust, as a special offer in October. But even so.....
