WOW! 1100s
I test rode an 1100s today. It was awesome. I have been pondering the change from a Monster . I believe I convinced myself today. Most comfortable bike I have ever ridden in spite of the seat being a little hard. Increased torque is very noticeable. If in fact the one I rode was geared high as usual then the bike is even more awesome.

Welcome... I sat on several monsters, but my knees hit the tank right on the side crease. just didn't fit me. took a test ride on a multi and was sold.
So, when are you buying?

I sat on one for the first time last week and it felt like I was positioned close to the front, more so than a sportbike. Probably the upright position I'm not used to, the saddle was an aftermarket Corbin. I'm not complaining, just an observation. Had a good comfortable feel actually. Felt like I could just drive away and do 300 miles without multiple rest stops. Another thing I liked about the riding position was the fact you didn't have to look up, you just rotate your head right and left to see. I believe this is really advantageous in the hills when your trying to look through the turns as far as you can.

I can't decide whether to buy the 1100s or look for a deal on an 05 or 06 1000s. Gotta have the black though either way, I just think the bike looks better in black for some unknown reason. Maybe then I could had a few gold touches to it here and there. By the way has anyone ever seen any gold anodized mufflers for it?

Either the "old" or the new would probably be a great bike. I hope to get to ride one this spring...the MS would be a great compliment to my ST3...or maybe even a replacement.

i didn't realize they had 1100's out on Monsters already. i bet that was a fun ride. my .02. if you want to go fast get an SBK on the track. Keep the monster light and nimble and no matter what cc displacement you ride, you're sure have fun. A black M1000...... ......okay I'm biased. It sure is fun and believe me, it has plenty of pep to it. Not to meantion, cheaper to maintain and the DS motor is solid.
