Multistrada incentives next week on 06 models
I heard from a California dealership Ducati will be providing some price incentives next week on 06 Multistradas. I also got some current prices on a couple 06 demos: $9,995 for the base model and $11,595 for the S model. They had some good prices on 07s too.
Seems to me the $1500 or so difference between the base and S model is worth it with the Ohlins front and rear. What else does the S come with? With the incentives coming next week it looks like the 06 prices may come down even further.
I've been considering the Multistrada for a while, I think its probably the most practical bike for me at this time. I can do both long rides and have some fun in the canyons too. I've gotten over the looks department, I call the looks functional beauty.
I'll wait and see. I feel like I'm going crazy, its either a Multistrada or a 998, Scott's Matrix was on my list until recently.

humm. maybe we should both go and see if we can get a 2-fer deal.
j/k Scott. Although the thought has crossed my mind. A dual sport that still has soul.

Clarke put some high comp overbore pistons on his MTS. It rips!
With the discounts that you can get on an earlier S, it makes sense just to just build your own 1100...or 1200...

I almost bought one before I bought the '04 R1150GS. The only reasons I didn't were the planned trip to Alaska (that was supposed to happen next year) and the 8 gallon fuel tank on the GS.

ummm,
Interesting. There are some good deals out there on the standard model.
Moto, I didn't know Clarke had a Multi, does he like it?

What's the world coming to, how am I ever going to sell my `04 Multi with Ducati discounting I'd jump on an "S" at that price.

My price mistake on the above 06 S model demo, its $11,699 not $11,595.

I'd say go for the S. you cannot upgrade later for anywhere near that price.
if you like the dry clutch sound, remember that the new one has a wet clutch.

I wonder if there will be any incentives for the 620 Multis.
