Quality carbon fibre manufacturers?
Hi, I've been looking to add some carbon fibre pieces but I want really top quality stuff, obviously there are a few suppliers. I've been looking specifically at CDT-R stuff, does anyone have any experience with their products?
Here's a link to their site:

just to let you know, this was your second post (first post must be an introduction , so this is actually your first post "free of choice" ), and then you post something that looks like "spam" , only a "one-brand" - link of some (for me) unknown brand ......
Have you considered other brands, which and do you have links and examples of those ?

Hi, yes I realised after posting that this may look a little suspect but it certainly isn't! I have considered Ilmberger products but I heard they had quality issues (I could be wrong) - any suggestions of other manufacturers would be welcome. The CDT-R stuff looks pretty good and is well priced but I prefer to see stuff in the flesh before purchasing so just looking for advice....

Ilmberger makes outstanding products, Carbonworld and also Shift-tech in my opinion are 3 of the best there is.
Also Carbonvani in Italy is top notch IMHO.
Stay AWAY from QB world of carbon!!!!!!

I've bought stuff from CarbonWorld in Germany.
Very good quality, and a pretty much perfect match for the DP bits already on my bike

Carbon
I have bought 4-5 pieces from the company you mention in your first post. OPP Racing is where I found it here in the US. It is good quality and fits well. My Ducati dealership mentioned them by name as a good alternative to Ducati Performance Carbon (less expensive). He also said that he believed they manufactured carbon for Ducati. I don't know if that is true, but that's what he said.
They also display a nice video on how carbon fiber parts are made. The video is on YouTube. I found it interesting. All the stuff about prepreg carbon, vacuum bagging, etc. No matter what brand carbon is your favorite, a neat video.
I have also had experience with BMW OEM, Ilmberger and Shift Tech carbon. Nothing bad to say about any of the carbon I've purchased.

+1 on ShiftTech -- really nice fit & finish, and the lay-up looks to be first rate. Have had their huggers (front & rear) on my 848 for 4 years now with no discoloration whatsoever.

www.aviacompositi.it is producing high quality carbon parts. I ordered some parts and the owner is a real nice guy, quick delivery, very good quality - my recommendation!

I recently ordered the carbon nose from carbonworld.de, and am thinking of ordering some more. They included a 10% off voucher for your next order!
The quality is good, but I had some problems fitting it nicely on my MTS. Not sure if it was me (me and screws, it will never go OK) but the nose looks slightly crooked. I wouldn't say it's a 100% nice fit, I'm even thinking about returning it. I have to redo it, that's for sure. Or maybe ask someone else to do it for me. I always get stuff damaged, ffs.
