Not sure how much you should pay but you might be in for a good deal if the owner is in need of a quick sale.
Any number below $13,000 is Bingo!

You can look up the average retail price on KBB or NADA for your area. This is a $20k MSRP bike, I would think $16k - $17k would be a good price. $13k would be a steal, HIGHLY doubt if you can get this bike for anywhere near that price, unless the seller is VERY desperate or a moron!

I just picked up a mint 2010 Sport with less than 3000 miles on it. I was able to get the bike from a dealer for a touch over $15,000 CDN. At least in these parts the bike is in high demand and this was the first used one to come through their doors. If a good one comes along I would not lose my mind over paying a little more due to demand and the fact this motor is F'n awesome!

Might want to look into an extended warrantee to go along with it , Is it at a dealer or private sale?
OTD ?
Dealers had some demos for a pretty good price, But what does everyone do to a demo beat on it , some may abuse it some too...
Tough bike should be able to take some abuse...
Just say wrap i up I'll take it!!!

No price difference in colors ,Some models may only come in a certain colour ???
A Good DEALER is VERY Advantagous . someone who knows how to make them run properly ...
There should be some warantee left on the bike , 2 year , so the dealer should know , Ask if you can get the original owners name and have a chat with them.
If they sold the bike ask for the History of the service work done on it such as the reflashes etc. if the rear brake had the Upgrade done to it...
If you buy it there they may offer discounts on extras and accessories...
Good Luck ...
Take it fo a test ride and see how it behaves

I bought a used 2010 MTS 1200 S last summer and paid $16.5 in Omaha. It only had 2500 miles, came with a DP touring seat, panniers and a GPS.

given that the bike is here in so cal, and at a dealership, my crystal ball says $17k+ easy.
remember that out of state bikes will cost you at least $500-$600 in shipping costs plus the hassle factor of having to register it at the DMV.
best of luck,
