Hard Starting At Night

When I leave for work in the afternoon my bike has no problem reading the key fob and bike starts. When I leave from work at night it takes several minutes for my bike to recognize the fob. Anyone else have this issue or any ideas on whats wrong?
Thanks in advance for any input

Noisier at night? My car wont "hear" the fob bleep if there is a lot of background noise?

Your battery not discharging over the day ? Check batt option on console.

Exactly. You must be very very quiet.

They seem to be pickier the farther you are from home. Especially at night if you are in a dodgy area.

If mine doesn't start after 30 seconds or so, I key in the code or hold the FOB or passive key near the antenna to start it. I have no idea why it insists on being a PITA. Just checked my FOB battery - it was at 3.00v. I want a 4v replacement battery for the 2032.

I'd be suspicious of local RF interference. There are two Chevron stations I don’t use because the bike can only be re-started by using the PIN code.

I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to be a troll. It's just...every once in a while I catch myself looking at pictures of this bike and thinking, "maybe...".
Then I see posts like this and think, "not a flaming snowball's chance in hell..."

Sorry guys. If you find yourself in the Eastern Adirondacks of upstate New York with a bike you can't start because the electronic techno-tricky has you bent over, get a hold of me and I'll bring a truck.
