MRA Screen Installed/125 mile ride - Ducati.ms

My wife got me the MRA short screen for Christmas. Put it together today and went for a short ride.

Not sure I dig the looks, but it solved my rattle!!! Very excited about that, it was a low speed rattle that was very loud since new. I had went through every screw on the front to no avail. It wouldn't rattle if the windshield was full up, but otherwise rattle. New screen has no rattle! Totally worth it for that.

Install was easy, rode about50 miles on the interstate between 75 and 95. Didn't notice any more or less noise or turbulence. A little less pressure on the helmet, (I can turn my head without the vent opening), can feel a bit more on the chest.

Forward vision is much improved for tight work while sitting and the guages are much easier to see in bright sun.

Ride was good, other then 3 miles of snow pack including a 10% downgrade!

(Weather has been in the 50s for the last several days including today however the canyons near the river apparently weren't warming up, only 30 deg when I went through). Anyway, fun ride, glad i had my heated grips and vest.

I have the exact same screen, dissapointed in the performance. I actually prefer the looks over the stocker, but it didn't do a thing for the wind noise/buffeting. I'm buying some Aztec spacers, so hopefully things will be happier behind the bubble on the highway!

It continues to amaze me how dramatic our experience can be. I've got a shorty too that I'm using for the summer(touring for winter) and while the touring isn't much better than stock...the shorty is a dramatic improvement.

Yes! It all depends on how tall a guy is. One screen will work for one guy and not the other. If the Aztec spacers work as well as advertised, my struggle will be over. I will post results. It may be a little while though, cold weather is finally setting in here.

I have the MRA Vario Screen and a set of Aztec Spacers. Yes, the holes don't line up perfectly, but they are close enough and the screen and spacers will flex just enough to get the bolts in! I've had no issues with the spacers and screen for the last 2K miles or so.

No, I'm not. I'm just using the Aztec spacers...

Thanks for the pictures! Looks like you used the rubber washers, good idea, I was going to do the same. Did you ever compare the MRA with Aztec spacers compared to the stocker? I think I'll compare the two, when the weather gets better, hopefully this weekend. We finally got snow here last night. Take care.
