Battery Tender Jr. or Optimate's seem to be some of the more popular choices.

See ya,

I've been using the same Yuasa SmartShot for 10 years.

I'ts on the bike constantly whenever I'm not, and my last battery lasted 8 yrs.

Edit to add:
As I was typing this this morning, my poor charger was lying smashed on the garage floor as a result of a windstorm.
Just another excuse to visit the dealer...

Exclamation battery tender

Dealer had set up the battery connection last year, but when i connected to it, no connection warning flashed. I then took off the seat and used battery clips to the tender which worked. Maybe the heat of the engine affected the wires under the seat.

I have the regular Battery Tender, works great! Battery Tender Jr. is just smaller and charges slower, which works just fine for maintaining the battery. Any "tender" type of charger would work as long as they are for a 12 volt system. I'm not familiar with gel type batteries, but assume you can use the same type of charger. Your MTS 1200 does not have a gel type battery stock.
