How can I turn the handlebars sideways
What I mean, our bikes come from the factory with their handlebars positioned inline with the bikes length right? I want to store my bike from my tuck- under
Garage into my basement, (no steps involved) but the door in only 30" wide and the Multistrada is like 39 1/2" wide. So until I replace my door situation to a pair of 30"s, (5' wide), I would like to know the correct way to unbolt the bars and carefully push my bike in my warm basement for he remainder of he winter.
PS, I just ordered a custom made fire proof steel double door for this problem, wait 6-8 weeks...my Christmas present to myself, ouch!

Greg
Am I looking at the same four hex set screws as you are?
I'm sure there must be a much more in depth and complicated formula.

There is no way to spin them like on an old bicycle. You could try a dolly under the front wheel.

Don't know why you couldn't put a blanket on the tank, unbolt the bars and lay them on top. Have one person stand in front of the bike, holding the forks to steer. You stand at the side holding and pushing carefully. At one point in my life I thought I could ride my open class dirt bike into the house. The nurse was very unsympathetic and I am a little wiser now.
