MSTD1200 Extended warranty in Oz
Hello,
I've read here that extended warranties are avilable (in the US?) and have googled a bit here in oZ, but only found three possible options so far.
What other options have people found, particularly here in Oz ?
The LBS just looked at me blankly when I asked them a few months ago ...
My, not well researched, list is currently :
Get an extension to your manufacturers warranty for your motorbike
Action Motorcycles: Finance & Insurance that you can trust, great deals on motorcycle finance and insurance
Other products
Does ext-warranty have to be sourced within the same country ? (or does that just make working with them a bit easier ?)
I'm a little bit consued on this subject ...
Regards,
Wit C.

I've gone with the EverRed Extended warranty on two previous Ducs, and have been well pleased. EverRed is the supposedly the 'official Ducati sanctioned' extended warranty program. It's administered by a third party insurance company here in the states, can't remember which one off the top of my head. Not sure who might administer it in Oz, but I''d be surprised if EverRed wasn't available there. I've always assumed it was worldwide as the brochures I've gotten from them are in several different languages.

I've just taken out the Ducati Ever Red extended warranty on my 1200 Multi through my local dealer. I'm not 100% sure but think it can only be taken out through a Ducati dealer & must be done before 18 Months so it's probably worth contacting where you bought yours from.
Cost for an additional year here in the UK was £299 GBP

You sure are.
Jokes aside, I am keen to find an affordable warranty extension too. Dealers just don't seem that interested. Surely we're not the first Ducati owners to ask?

I'd be interested in an Australian one too, but don't trust 3rd party type insurers.
My 18 month old MTS just trew up the "preload error". Booked in for a look at on 14th Jan.
Cheers,

thanks mollycbr and anthill... Ever red showed up early in my searches, but I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feel for ever red's coverage here in oz, but I didn't check with my dealer yet, so I'm not discounting that as a possibility. I guess it doesn't matter where they're based ?
Ill look at the stratton one too, thank kitsrfer !

I believe it's just the Swann Insurance product, but I found the PDF on Strattons.
Cheers!

Kinda looks like swann is the warranty option here in oz. Nfi had no recommendations at all and I don't think ever red is an option here either.
No one seems to have heard of them.
Any other Oz owners find a good extended warranty?
NFI's response to the query was simply...
"Sorry for the late reply, I do not know of a extended warranty for you to use sorry. Maybe if you contact your dealer there is one they can recommend."
My dealer suggested SwannInsurance ...
