Base/ base abs ohlins up grade "rear"

Any one with a base or abs base want to up grade to a ttx ohlins rear shock let me know i have one that will bolt right on the stock location. It is a much better performing shock than the stock one.

sure

Ohlins does not make this shock for our bikes. You have to get a shock from an s bike and convert it to a maunal set up. This bolts right on to the stock location of the sachs shock.

Sounds expensive: probably cheaper to buy an S

Not really

same as a ttx for a 1098/1198 from ohlins. When i did my conversion for my base abs there were no used MTS 1200s bikes out there that could be had so it was a full pop deal. I set up my bike front and rear and still was 3000+ in my pocket. I still do not want the push button suspension on a bike.I like a clicker and a screw driver to set it up. No DES errors or wondering if the preload is making a strange noise Blah blah. Im sure its good stuff just not for me. I wish it had a normal key and head lock but what can you do. Just love the bike.

Sorry; I must have misunderstood the previous post that stated you needed a shock from an S bike (I presumed with the electronic actuators etc.)

Sorry yes you do need one from an S

If you can find one you can convert it. I just lucked out and found one at a good price and thought someone in my boat with a base would like it without having to go thru the brain damage i went thru doing the research. Have all the servos pulled and the new valves and preload put in. The problem is the head it is only made for ducati and you cant buy it. Other than that it is a ttx shock with valving and length for our bike and an external preload. They "ohlins" will not be making them anytime soon and i tried and tried. Ducati wants you to buy the more $$$ bike. I do understand their position. I could go on and on about this but its not very exciting.

this is a simple way to upgrade to great shock

I think this is a great way to upgrade your rear end

Yes Wilbers makes shocks for your Multi. Wilbers are built to your weight and riding style. They are very high quality, fully rebuildable and have a five year warranty.
Here are the shock options for your model:
Model 640 with rebound damping and hydraulic preload adjust: $798.00
Excellent street bike shock for occasional off-road riding, best seller.

Model 641 with remote reservoir, remote hydraulic preload adjust and three way damping: $1098.00 Wilbers best shock for more off road riding and maximum street performance.

Our weekly order go to Germany every Saturday and arrive in about 3 weeks.

Thanks for the inquiry, feel free to call for a more in depth discussion about your suspension options.

Best regards,
