pannier elastic strap cargo retainers

so you know inside the panniers are those elastic cargo straps/retainers for keeping your cargo in when the lid is open? does anyone know if those are sold separately or if you can only get those when you buy a pannier kit.

I'm looking for a single set if anyone has a wrecked pannier and the elastic is still inside.

Not sold separately, at least not for the older multi's. Not sure about the 1200.
I, too, had to buy some for my previous multi.

They are available through any GIVI dealer. There are a lot of different ones. You just need to measure your original one to help you find which part number is the most appropriate fit.

Such a small screw to attatch the straps to the pannier...
I had to give mine a slight tightening , sos they wouldn't come off, not to tight or you will strip the holes...

That's the one thing I don't care for on the Multi are the panniers. They look nice, but seem so damn flimsy.

Excellent, I'll check with Givi. Fwiw, this isn't for my pannier, I added a Touratech top case and would like to add it to the lid for holding small items like maps, extra gloves, etc.

ya...rally poor design.

I put a drop of crazy glue into each hole, then reattached them.
...let 'em sit overnight, and they've been fine since.
