Ducati MS1200S - 100% made in italy?

Just curious.

I was reading a test of the BMW GS650 and it was reported the engine was designed in Germany and made in China. Are there any components on our Multistrada that are sourced elsewhere?

I guess I should have been more specific. I was wondering if there were any surprises like the BMW example.

I think the Pikes Peak Edition is made in or near Colorado Springs, but I am sure the paint scheme is Italian. Who knows?

Pirelli scorpions... Front made in Sth America, Rear made in Europe .... Go figure !?!?

Judging by the poor assembly quality of the LED indicators in my DP CF tail, Taiwan or China ?

All ducati motors are assembled in their factory at Bologna. I know this as there was a doco on Discovery channel dedicated to the Multistrada.
In fact the whole bike is assembled there.
They are NOT designed in Gemany and are defenitly NOT assemble in China!!!!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure that the Multistrada is 100% ASSEMBLED in Italy. I saw the discovery channel special also of the assembly line in Bologna. That being said, I'm sure that those components are sourced from all over the globe like most vehicles today. Case in point, a while ago there was an article on MSN about buying American made cars & trucks. They checked and found out that that the cars with the most American made content were.......(drum roll).....the Toyota Camry (#1) and the Honda Accord (#2).

Yea...... the best we can say is designed and assembled in......

I agree the engine is Italian but where are the parts made for it...we may never know.

I seen Ferrari actually cast and fire there own molds. Pretty rare I would say these days but I guess Ferrari does it to keep there secrets somewhat safe at least there metals mix.

I saw a relay on the Multi that said JAPAN on it this weekend.

Most all motor driven vehicles have parts from everywhere.
