MRA or Cali Scientific Shorty Screen
Im looking to order a shorty screen for the Multi 1200 and have narrowed it down to either the MRA or the California Scientific (err... are there any others? )
Any pros and cons?
Also... Where did you order yours from?
Thx

I have the CalSci shorty dark tint ordered directly from mfg. Love the screen, not so much the hardware. Hardware is disguised with black plastic covers that snap over the screw heads. I lost one of the covers riding in rain. On a positive note, I emailed CalSci and asked if I could order replacement covers. A few days later I received three new covers in the mail no charge. Cheers to California Scientific customer service.

I have both. MRA all day. Saying that, if you want to try the CalSci, I'll sell it to you cheap!

How is the MRA that much better... Fit and finish?
Also, where did you order it from? I can find the touring one on twisted throttle, but not the shorty.

There is also this one which the UK guys say is excellent quality carbon shorty.
It aslo doesn't have the words Pikes peak on the graphic which I think would look a little strange on the nonPP bikes IMO

I recently went through the same process, and ordered the MRA shorty at Twisted Throttle; however, a few days later I learned that the screen wouldn't be available for shipment until about 5 weeks later. Promptly canceled the order and placed a new one with CalSci instead. I like my CalSci shorty better than the stock unit, although these small(ish) screens can only do so much to cut down on turbulence and wind noise. I also agree that the CalSci hardware isn't the most elegant (but neither is the MRA's, from what I can tell.) Here's a pic of my CalSci shorty (with optional decal):
One of these days I'll probably bite the bullet and get a "barn-door sized" screen to use for longer rides: the wind is a bit chilly this time of year, even here in TX.
FWIW,
LarsA
