Multistrada 1200S - 2011 vs. 2012? - Ducati.ms

I just purchased a 2011 black Multistrada 1200S Touring.

It appeared to be identical to the 2012 Multistrada 1200S Touring. The dealer said the rear seat on the 2012 was contoured differently but that was the only difference.

Mine was made in the 5th month of 2011. The 2012 model nearby was made in the 7th month of 2011.

Does anyone know if there was other changes that are less visible?

The driver seat is suppose to be longer. To do that I'd think they'd need to change both seats since the pin would seem to have to be relocated. No other changes (except color) that I know of...

I have a 12' on order and was told they won't be released in the US until January. You said you've seen a 12' in Texas. I might be getting the run around by my dealer.

12's are in the showrooms... PP is a 12, and we have received a white std and red tour but no titanium quite yet.

This is a 2012 we outfitted with Touratech gear.

That Tourateck gear looks much better than the crappy ducati ones. Im about to odrer a pikes peak version (still deciding with the diavel).

I have the 2012 Touring and the only difference I was told are the seats. The pillion seat is shorter by about 1/4 inch which you can say extends the rider seat. The pin underneath the seat is also different (shorter).

If you want the Touring model, you can get it in Titanium, which is not available in the 2011 models.
