time to do the decat... now what?!?

and the filter, so which electronics solution is the best at this point:
  1. duc.ee
  2. bazaaz
  3. power commander
  4. oem ecu reflash

anyone done any of these recently (or maybe two/more options for a head to head comparison)?

thanks in advance!

i will not get into the "which is best" argument but i employed the MIVV mid-pipe, stock end can, Duc.EE and Fat Ducs (o2 manipulators) and they worked well (with the exception of a random CEL from time to time). there are plenty of threads on the subject matter.

best success,

The PCV and the Bazaaz are great options if you are going to get the bike custom tuned. Don't believe people that say generic maps work just fine.

If you don't want a piggyback system just go with any of the available mid pipes and Fat Ducs. LV that I have comes with a little gadget that eliminates the servo cable and prevents any ecu errors.

I have started down this process too, so I’ll throw in my 2 cents. I have the DUC.EE and is a great idea, but does not always work…I am still trying to get mine working, but love the idea of getting rid any extra weight not needed, like servo/cables/mounts. I will say, I think mine is a fluke and the company is excellent to work with! It is a hard part to get, you have to go to Vizible Technologies | Home to get them now.

I am working the PCV now. Just remember you need more than just a PCV to get this working right. If you want the low speed fueling fixed you need FatDucs or O2 Optimizer also. I installed Optimizer and it worked very well for me (see post on the optimizers).

I agree with Turkish Express, you need to have the PCV tuned on a Dyno or use the Auto Tune, (I’m still installing this to test). Otherwise your just wasting your time, and by that point you have a lot of money invested, to have your fueling just “close”. So going the PCV route you also need to pay for, Tuning on a dyno, or buy the Auto Tune, and Optimizers, FatDuc or equivalent.

I still feel the best option is to have the ECU cracked and tuned by someplace very capable, like CJS in England. However, this option only works if you have access to someone capable, and whenever you make changes to bike, you need to return to the shop and have it remapped. (Biggest reason I went for AutoTune…I can make as many changes as I like without having to get it back in the shop).

As far as the Bazaaz, I have never tried, but only heard good things about them….But you will still have the same extra items or tuning you will need to buy going the Bazaaz route too. Good luck on your project.
