smartphone holder

Any sugg on a good holder ? I figured I would save some money on GPS and audio by just using the phone.

I got the Slip-Grip for mine. I wired a 12v plug to my battery tender cable so I can charge it since the GPS really sucks the charge.

Here is what I've got:

Universal RAM X-Grip Holder & Mounts

I also use it in conjunction with:

RAM Short Double Socket Arm for 1" Ball Bases

and

Motorcycle Base - Handlebar Clamp Base with M8 Screw

Check out the Biologic case. Does a good job of protecting the phone.

If you've got an iPhone, Touratech makes an awesome holder that uses ram mounts. I have several on different bikes and use them all the time. Has anyone purchased the Radarscope app? Real time weather radars and alerts. Awesome app for navigating around those summer pop up thunder storms.

I love converged devices, or I wouldn't have bought a Multistrada. When I realized that my new iPhone's screen was not glove-friendly, however, I bought a Garmin Zumo 550, and have never looked back. It integrates beautifully with the iPhone and a Bluetooth helmet headset for phone calls, audio directions, MP3s, iPhone contacts, and more stuff than I can possibly use.

You might find a Zumo 550 at a good discount on Cyber Monday (11/28) or other pre-Christmas sales online this year, since they have been in production 2-3 years.

If there is one thing that I want to survive a crash - besides me, of course - it's my phone. So I keep it in my pocket.

...but my Zumo 665 is at least water resistant, so I think I'll go this route.
