Handlebar - rust.

This worries me a bit:



What do you think? Apparently water slips in and get stuck there. Not a very good place to get rust. Or do I overreact?

Wow, that seems like a design oversight. Might want to drill a weephole in each.

Mine isn't like that at all - dry as a bone and no sign of any rust - very weird!!

Is this picture before or after you swapped the bars?

Maybe the after market ones are not quite a perfect seal?

I'd clean it all out, spray with some rust inhibitor and try a small smear of silicone around the mating faces before reassembly...
