Emissions canister delete.

It caught my eye on the way into the garage for the last time today..

It's a really easy mod.. Took about 30mins.

How the heck do you get to the hose clamp on the rear cylinder?! That's the thing that's been stopping me...suggestion?

I like it. What is the purpose of the canister anyway?

Why do you need to just take the hose off the top of the cannister and put a vacuum blank on it.

then Just splice the feed pipe to the original drain pipe and wrap them both both of the way.

It takes the vapor from the tank and filter it through a carbon filter then the engine sucks it back in to be burnt.

It's not on the Euro bikes and not legally required outside of CA.. the just obviously bolted it on as an after thought. instead of making a unique CA bike, just made them all the same.

Uk multistrada's

The Strebel Nautilus horn fits perfectly in the space where the cannister was- and is a heck of a lot more useful!

Just to be clear when I did mine I plugged the tube coming from the throttle bodies. I left the T in the line and plugged the single line on the left side. I then connected the larger hose that goes up to the tank, I assume its the overflow because I cant see where it attached to, and used the remaing hose off the bottom of the cannister to extend it down and away from the header. I am thinking the cannister is there to catch overflow from the gas tank inner rim and the fumes get pulled into the throttle bodies when the engine is running.

drdave,

Can we see a picture of how you installed the horn? I'd like to do the same - I'm tired of the 'road runner' cartoon sounds that the stock horn makes. Also what else did you need for the install - L bracket, wiring harness?

thanks!
