Man I hope not.

I know the 1098 Monster is coming, independent of the "Monster" series supposedly, but I hope the 696 styling stays with the 696.

my reliable source tells me that the new monster will, indeed, stay 2v and there will be (he already saw the protos) a 1098 streetfighter.

so, the next monster to join the 696 will be the 1100 and that should be the lineup.

the article says that the monster lineup has always had many flavours and that it is likely that we'll see a monster 1098. but they're slightly mistaken.
