Valve guide opinions
A little while back I posted in the introduction section my intent to purchase an '06 S2R1000. Well, I'm certainly in lust with the bike but in trying to be a good consumer I've been combing the internets (here a great deal of the time). My question: Is the valve guide issue a major cause for concern with these ds1000 engines? There's a post here on .ms that supplies engine #'s (for the S2R1000 it's RAB026287) after which Ducati has supposedly taken care of the problem. Any information on this? This will not be my first Ducati and I do realize that you buy a Ducati with your heart but curious heads (mine) want to know how likely will be the possibility of having to deal with bad valve guides and the problems that accompany them.
Any thoughts and opinions are appreciated.
