becoming a ducati owner
Hi guys : Tomorrow If all goes as plan I will pick up my new to me 2007 monster s4rs with 700 miles. What should I consider a fair price? The bike doesn't have a single scratch or blemish.

Ive seen them go for 7k all the way up to 12k. Depends on mods, no mods, availability, etc. if you're happy with the price it's all that matters.

Assuming it's stock, a quick search suggests $10k would be a good deal. I'd ask if the initial break-in service was performed since that's worth a few hundred either way.
To compare, it's closest counterpart in today's Ducati lineup would be a Streetfighter S, a new one of which would cost almost twice as much.

You will look forever if you worry too much about price. If you have done your research you will know what a fair price is, think to yourself what would you sell it for a year from now. For me it comes down to how I feel about the person selling the bike and their story, a well taken care of bike that you feel is truthfully represented by the seller is always worth any extra money you spend. Remember the old rule, if it is seems to good to be true, then you missed something.

That's a good tip.
I bought mine, sight unseen, off Craigslist. Paid high book after the owner told me he flys 787's for a private charter company. Can't get any more nit-picky and anal than those guys. Flew 1200 miles to pick it up. It was pristine.

The bike arived to its new home last thursday. I pick up the bike with 790 miles on the odometer. I new the bike for a while now since the owner was a co worker of my best friend and I allready tested the bike before. I finally paid $8800. I will try to post pictures of it soon.
