Color Scheme Idea...

Hey-- tell me if this is blasphemy-- I really like the color & brown leather seat of the Griso SE.

How do you think that would look on a monster? Anybody had experience having their seat recovered with brown leather? Ideas about how much it costs? -I've only found one picture of a brown-saddled monster out there in the ether...

I can't get the thumbnails to enlarge--the color is sort of a dark olive..., with a chocolate-colored leather seat.

I've thought about doing the same thing myself. I just want to find the right person to cover the seat. I also like the Griso SE paint job and want to duplicate it on my Monster.

Travman- glad to hear I'm not completely mental. Sometimes I think things are aesthetically appealing that turn out to be fugly.

Post up if you go through with the seat mod and or paint. I'm really curious about how leather holds up over time...

That is a fine line you are walking sir... As long as it is tasteful I think you could pull it off.

The green and brown is a great colour scheme, I had a Griso SE because of that reason. Guess the only thing to consider is that the traditional colours are from the Moto Guzzi racing days from the 1930's. The colours are sometimes described as 'Tenni' after their rider Omobono Tenni. They also did a V11 in the same colours.

I think a brown saddle looks good, perhaps against matt black ?

my buddy has a green and silver Tenni. (we call it "the booger")
it has a light brown coarse suede seat.
pretty cool and definitely different.
not too sure how it does in the rain, though.
