How do i set shift light on a 2011 796

When i picked up my bike on saturday, the owner of the store was showing me a few things in the dashboard and he pointed it out a shift light in the top right corner of the bike.

Anyone know how to set it to a specified RPM ? i'de like to set it to 5,500 since I'm still in my pre 600 miles...

It's just a rev limiter light, kicks on at 9500 rpm I believe.... Not a shift indicator unless the new models have a new feature....

Yea it would be nice if you could change it, but idk if it possible. It actually sucks that its at 9k when the bike redlines at 9.5 (i believe). Basically, at WOT the light comes on so quick that by the time I see it, I've already redlined. That last 500 rpm's go by in a split second, rendering a shift light pointless IMO.

If I could set it at say 8k or 8500, it could come on and stay on for a second, therefore alerting me that I need to shift soon, not at that very moment. It would also give me that extra 1/2 second to shift before redlining
