New or rebuilt parts
I have a mechanic that wants me to order from Ducati. He's an OEM stator with magnet assembly and a rectifier for $620. That's way less then my dealer wanted.
I can get the stator rebuilt and a new rectifier from ricks motorsport electrics, for about 300.
Do I save half? The mechanic says that the heat ages the stator and magnets and isn't worth the trouble to go with rebuilt.
