Opinion on FBF pistons
Looking to swap out the pistons on my 2003 monster 1000s, what does everyone think of the FBF drop in high compression kit? pros/cons ?
Mike

I have 6,000 miles on them.....
...have Ferracci's hi-comp pistons in my old '97 M750.
Bike runs like a dream. I am very happy with these pistons.
Do it.

Why not enlarge the bore at the same time if you are going to change your pistons? I don't think the slightly higher CR of the FBF high CR pistons would make the 7 hp difference which is claimed. Stock your engine is at 10:1. The new Pistons are at 11:1. If you have 84 hp currently, you could expect 86 hp by raising your CR by one point.
There is a program on-line that shows the horsepower change that can be expected with changes to the compression ratio. Edit: found it.

I have a set with low miles that I took out and had ceramic coated on top and moly coated on the sides, then never finished the project. So basically new, and just sitting here. PM me if your interested, and I can send pics. I am thinking 175.00+shipping, considering they cost 125.00 to have coated, not bad.
BTW the coating was done by Swain with the top of the line goldcoat

I've had FBF (Wiseco) pistons in my SS for >10,000 mi and probably 20 track days. No problems.
