Should i trade my m696 on m1100?
Here is the issue, i was was going to buy a set of Termis for my M696, here in Oz about $2000 for the carbon type. My local dealer has a new (2010) M1100 on the floor with carbon termis which I think I can get for about a $5,500 change over. I test rode it and of course loved it. So is the M1100 worth the extra $3,500 as I want the Termis anyway for my current bike. May of been an expensive test ride

I'm not a Monster owner, but I got a chance to see what the 696 is capable of on a recent group ride, and have a lot of respect for it. The group consisted of some DS1000-powered Ducs (some GT1000s and older Multis), an 848EVO, and the 696. The 696 guy was in the lead group the whole time, and the pace was pretty quick which shows me the 696 is no slouch.
So just my 2 cents, if better performance is your main goal for the extra $3500, maybe an '07-'08 SR4 would provide a bigger return on your investment.

I'd say no brainer. The only disadvantage is if you're 5'4" or under. The ride height is a bit taller. Plus, lets face it, the single sided swing arm is so much sexier looking!

Do it, there not even in the same camp. I've owned both, the 696 for GF and the 1100 for me. I do like the 696 for what it is but not even close to the 1100.
