M1100 EVO hopping to neutral while engine braking?

Hi,

my bike has a little but a some what embarrassing fault:

when I engine brake into a corner (usually on the track) the gearbox drops to neutral without any gear change or even a hint of clutch play or gear lever play.

It just does it. And it has to be a long, hard engine brake. Typically from speeds over 150 km/h and 4th gear to 2nd gear, hard braking and then into a corner with the engine brake.

Almost drove off a mountain in Slovenia this summer and after that a few close calls in a local racing circuit here in Finland.

Anyone else having this? My dealer has promised to look into it but I would like to know if someone has had the same problems and maybe could hint the reason?

My god, no, I haven't experienced anything like that in my 3500 miles on my 1100 EVO. The thought of the bike switching to neutral during engine breaking on the approach to a mountain corner makes my testicles want to hide.

If it ever happened to me, just once, I'd have that thing in a garage being looked at with a microscope.
