1100 evo strange motor noise
Hi,
I have a new Monster 1100 EVO and I have now 1000km. I observed I strange noise when my engine is hot after I long enough ride. The engine made a very strange noise as if the engine is missing some oil. That's not the case, there is enough oil and the motor do not do this on the first miles of my rides when the engine is not so hot. I do some research and from what I read it can be related to the engine belts but I don't read about this trouble for the 1100 evo. Do you think that this could be the trouble or something else? I go for my first maintenance tomorrow but if I have an idea of the trouble before that could be a good thing

Yeah I know, that's why I ask the question, if I already have the answer that will be a more than easy button

My 1000km maintenance is done. Seen that there is nothing strange with my motor. Maybe with more km this sound will reduce. We will see.

That's actually no joke. Sometimes I hop on the bike for a short ride without the earplugs and it drives me crazy trying to figure out what all the weird noises are.

You may also want to know that Duc engines make different funny noises in high ambient temperature conditions than they do in cold temps.
Just ride it and enjoy!
