New Rider Deal-Free stuff with 696 purchase

I am in the market for a new 696 or recent model 696. My local dealer is offering a new rider special with the purchase of a 696. This includes a helmut, jacket, gloves, and boots. I am unsure if the items offered are of a decent quality. For instance, the helmut is a Bell. I suspect it will be one of their less expensive models. Has anyone seen this kind of a deal or know anything more about it?

Its all marketing. They are just taking the value of the extra stuff out of the profits from the 696. Im guessing the extras are around $400, so think of it as getting a $400 discount off MSRP. If I were you, I would still haggle on the price of the 696.

I wouldn't go cheap on riding/safety gear.... Ask if they can save that $ and put it towards credit so you can buy better gear... You can really tell the difference between cheap and good(usually more expensive) gear
