Question M1100EVO Price Flexibility

Hey all... The 1198S deal fell through but actually, I'm glad it did. I realize as a current M900Sie owner that I am a true fan of the Monster. A few months ago, I sold my pristine, generously upgraded 748R because I rarely rode it choosing my Monster over 90% of the time. So I've decided, after reading numerous reviews and finally seeing one in person, the M1100Evo (in black!) is my next Ducati. Actively looking around, I'm finding that dealers aren’t budging much at all from the $11,995 MSRP. My buddy is looking at the M796 and experiencing the same thing. So what can I expect in terms of any flexibility in the price of these bikes? What kind of OTD price have you guys encountered? I'm in NorCal...

Thanks much.

Rick

Very little to none. I've called every dealer here in Socal and none have one in stock, they can get one but at full MSRP (OTD $14500). Best you can get right now is $500 off.

I almost feel bad telling you my OTD price if you paid $14,500. My dealer didn't charge me any sort of freight, shipping, or other fees. I paid $11,800 for the bike, 8% NYS/County sales tax, and then registration and a new plate charge from NYS (NY loves fees and taxes), and NYS safety inspection. OTD was like $12,850 give or take a few bucks. My dealer told me that the freight just went up on Ducati bikes and I think he is going to be forced to pass on at least some of the freight charge to the buyer. Maybe he didn't charge me the freight because I am a return customer and he knows I get all my work done at his shop.

The best way to save money is to see if they can do the 600 mile service for nothing

No discount on mine either. They have been selling them as soon as they get them in stock it seems. My dealer has sold 2 red ones and 1 black and they just got another red in. I got the second red they had and I had to put a deposit down to secure it. I bought the new bike and sold my old bike after rather than trade it in.

I love the bike. Beautiful bike and great fun to ride. I've put over 1700 miles on it already.

Those 1100 EVO Monsters are very nice. I'm scared to ride one as I might buy one.

Thanks guys. This is exactly what I'm finding out. Seems there is a very small margin of profit on these bikes. I appreciate the input...
