Exhaust Questions - Ducati.ms

I have a 2011 Monster 796 and am wondering of it is possible to remove the silencers in the stock exhaust. I know this is not an ideal setup but am looking for some noise until i get my exhaust. Also will this make it run lean at all or cause any other problems. Please dont ream me i know this is not the perfect thing to do but i thought it was a good temporary fix. Any help or suggestions to this first time Ducati owner would be much appreciated.

Its a fine temp fix. Ive done it on bikes before the first day i got them. Like any open exhaust, you will need a powercommander or remap of some kind, but if you plan to get something else later you can live with the less than ideal fueling...it wont hurt the bike.
