Looking at a 96 monster m900
So I'm thinking of buying a 96 monster I found near me I just want the opinion from some experts I currently own a 01 748s I just finished putting back together since I bought her salvaged. So theism monster has 12k miles belts and valves aren't done the bike has been dropped and has a sweet dent on the tank any carbon that looks like it was stock is faded to yellow the right exhaust can is ready to fall off and the front brake lever is hanging on by a zip tie the Guy is asking 3k said he would go to 2500 but I want to pay 2k comments....

If you don't buy it I might be interested. I have a 96 900 monster. Sounds like a fun project.
I wouldn't go over $2,000. Sounds like the bike needs lots of work.
Good luck.

I agree, it doesn't sound like it's worth any more than $2K.
I've got a '94 Monster, and with 43K miles on it it sounds like it's in better shape than that one.

Before i buy another "carb" monster i would check that the heads have the V1 and V2 stamps on them and not W1 and W2 (750 heads and cams).
the "W" series are breathless and wimpy in comparisson. to upgrade is expensive.
