Belt tensioners...?

So my 696 is in for 15,000 mile service. Got a quote from the dealer to have the full service done for around 500 bucks. Today I got a call that my belt tensioners were warped. The said it would double my service bill, and I would be lucky to spend less than a grand.

Are there any aftermarket options that I can get get for less than 275 each?

Id be asking to see them, being so new wouldnt that be covered by ducati warranty, a new car would be. How are they warped?

Sounds like the dealer trying to make a few bucks out of you

The bike is out of warranty at this point. The guy told me that the bearings had flat spots and were rusty... I trust the dealership not to screw me, maybe thats where I'm going wrong

its really hard without seeing them

i could understand bearings being notchy then you would want to replace give ca cycleworks a go he makes aftermarket belts might have tensioner bearings too

i just find it hard that a bearing failed so early in the bike must be chinese crap

if you do i would be asking for the old parts back
