New Monsters: What are they like on the track?

(note: I posted this question on the DMF already, but wanted to open the discussion to a different group)

I've searched and read that the older generation Monsters are entirely trackable, but certainly more frustrating than the Japanese standards (Ninjas, SV650, etc), especially when it comes to ground clearance.

I noticed that Penguin Racing School offers Monster 696s as rental bikes (in addition to Supersports) and was wondering if the newer generation Monsters are better suited to the track than the older ones?

To those of you with new generation monsters, what have your track day experiences been?

They have been epic. 2009 M1100S. Ditch the stock peg assembly, go with Woodcraft. ZERO complaints.

Standard pegs watch your toes, just not enough clearance still good fun and you can get it right over on the edges of the tyre

I haven't had my 696 to the track yet, maybe next year, but at Deal's Gap I was scraping the pegs pretty often so I replaced them with Valer Moto rearsets and that took care of that.
I did scrape the kickstand once, but that's my fault because I don't hang off enough.
That's with Michelin PP2CT tires.
