DB7 Vs MV F4

I'm so totally in love with the looks of DB7. I had 1098 before and liked the motor. Now that used DB7 are close to 2010 MV F4 I'm thinking about it more and more.
I like that DB is so well made and unique but then this also scares me. How hard is it to parts for BD7? I know that 1098 motor should be no problems. I think that maybe new more main stream MV could be a saver pick. Also MV packs more power and has traction control.
What do you guys think?

Tuff call Diablo, I think it may come down to ; do You want a twin or a four/ There really is no wrong choice between those two. The Bimota will always be a little more exclusive in my eyes. Parts wise, it will all have to come from Italy if it is a major body or engine part. Service parts are probably close to the same for both bikes, You can get them at a MV or Ducati dealer.
let us know what happens.

Well MV is not great on parts here in the US so I wouldn't assume that the 1000 would have better parts availability. As for the 1000 unless it has been radically altered in it's newest iteration, I submit the DB7 is a better and mire comfortable street ride (except the seat as a brick issue, and we are having a solution worked out on that for my bike now.).

Just my opinion, and YMMV. Dave

I say get the one you love more.....because both are exclusive bikes and parts will be difficult either way. Bimota is more rare and MV is changing ownership every couple years....both can be a potential parts nightmare so you might as well get the one that sirs your soul the most.

I say DB7...but I would be happy with either!!

i got the 2010 mv f4 and love it compared to my 08 f4..totaly different bikes like night and day not as much heavy steering and alot more room to move in the saddle.but like was said..hope they dont go into termoil.the only reason i ended up w/the 2010 was from a car trade so i practically got the bike for $6500 so it was a no brainer, but dont regret doing it.good luck w/ur decision.

Illogical choices both, so NSP has it down.

Looks: Your call. The MV design is old, but has held up remarkably well.
The '10 MV looks a little pinched to me.
The MV has a prettier face and pipes. DB7 prettier everywhere else.
Value: MV (Silly to talk Value, else buy a GSXR)
Engine: Power - MV, but the DB7 1098 motor is a sweetheart without the added compexity of the 1198 electronics.
All day riding: MV - A sadistic torture rack.
DB7 - More comfortable than a Duc 1098. I find the seat better too. The DB7 doesn't roast your legs like a Duc 1098/1198.
Panache: MV's are commonplace due to their long-lived design.
DB7 - Huge viewing crowd at bike night can be overwhelming.

I would go with the DB7, but both are absolutely gorgeous. Both are super exclusive and probably hard to get parts for. The Bimota will be more comfortable and easier to ride because of the Ducati torque and tractability. Your choice.

How about a 2009 Bimota DB7 Nerocarbonio?

And just to side track a bit, I know it's not quite the same thing, but I would wait for the new MV F3 triple...

I labored over choices between less worthy bikes, and am envious of your struggle. Test rode the '10 MV F4 ...granted, just 30 miles but could easily tell the ergos are improved greatly over previous versions. The sweet exhaust could possibly make up for the still dedicated riding position. Having only ridden a DB5R, I can only say that if the stronger Duc motor was in that package, it would be in my garage. Love that Bimota uses a round dial tach, hard for me to get use to new MV RPM display.
