It won't be doin' that with ME in the saddle, that's for sure!
Maybe if I removed the lower fairing like this guy in the photo....yeah, that's what's stopping me.

DB4's what a nifty little demon of a canyon carver
seems like the way the DB4 is constructed its balance, engine narrow
and placed just right in that great frame allows the rider such a good feel for just where he is while leaned over that far into a corner.
Thats the way to build a fun canyon carver, using that engine torque
to slow the bike, less need for brakes all the time.
Had the SB6 with a Japanese inline , felt like a truck compared to the DB4
Almost like the Italian way of light like a bicycle and balanced to feel about the same. Owned a DB4 years ago , would like another one to have some real
fun again, rock solid bike it was , nothing flimsy about it

If you think the DB4 or the DB2 feel tiny and flickable try the DB1. Other than the limitation of the 16s and not a lot of choice in tires --try none-- it's a lot lighter and smaller and changes direction by thought input. Dave

DB1 vs DB4 on handling
I had the 1987 Ducati Paso with 16" rims quite the little nimble
bike compared to the Ducati Darmah 900 ss (truck handling) I sold
so the DB1 really is more flickable ?
At speed I do find that air flow on the DB4 feels like that front end is so light.
Actually I dont like the feel for higher speed handling and not wanting to lay on the gas tank in the high speed straights to keep it down .
Isnt it nice as you have owned alot of bikes through the years as they have evolved, then you narrow down just what to keep like the DB1 because you've tried so many other bikes but realize what you want most out of a certain bike. You cant always know that unless you come from the early seventies moving up to better handling bikes all through the years. I cant do back ever to the sluggish heavy steering Ducati's , EVER
How is the DB1 at higher speeds ?

One thing that's kept a DB1 from my wish list is it's diminutive size.
Would a 6' 195 lb rider fit well?
The DB4 fits me like a glove.

No problem Bruce. You would fit a DB1 just like an NFL lineman in a Yugo. Sorry to say, no way Jose. Dave

Cool photo.
Where does the DB5/R fit in with the other DB racebikes as far as handling goes (DB1/2/4)?

That road I need to ride next time I am down south. Last May was such a blast riding in Cal.
