Looking for Tesi

Well I finally decided to go for the Tesi over the DB7. Now all I have to do is find one at a reasonable price. I'm looking for 08/09 Carbonio version although I'd consider the red and white for the right price.

The local guys have a 2008 all Black 3D, but they're only dropping a couple grand off list which seems a bit stingy in this market.

I know Ken had a customer that was looking to sell one (Ken - still available?) and I saw a couple of posts regarding a dealer in San Francisco. Anyone one know if they are still available and whom I should contact?

Thanks.

Try Bob Steinbugler at Bimota Spirit in North Carolina.

Bob is a good guy and will treat you right.

I echo the Saint as to Bob. He will set it up, make sure it is perfect, and will stand behind it. He also is THE MAN with Bimota if an issue arises. When my Tesi had some minor issues -- which I have discussed before and which were in some of the components not anything Bob would have caught on PDI, he jumped on it and stayed on it until it was fixed, and the bike was in Wisconsin and he was in the Carolinas.

By the way, see he has a red and white and a Special Edition converted to Carbono with a pair of Zard cans. That would be my choice except I already have a red and white Special Edition with the Zard cans.

Can't say enough good things about him. Give him a call and use my name as well as the Saint. Dave

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll give him a call tomorrow.

What is the difference between a "standard" and a "special edition"?

I see Bob's listed-for-sale-as-of-yesterday Tesi 3D in Carbonio is now shown as sold. Was that you, Mink? Dave

Unfortunately not. That would have been a great bike. He sold the LE last weekend and didn't get the web site updated until just now.

Still working on a buy though. I haven't given up just yet!

Anyone know of any other LE versions waiting for a new home?

Spoke to Bob yesterday and he said he had sold the own listed, but just got the last, new Tesi Carbonio in the country left in distributor's stock. I'd give him a call. Dave

Thanks Dave.

I got an email from him about it yesterday I think. (Been swamped around here so my personal emails are getting backlogged.) He's selling it as a current model (i.e. starting at MSRP) when it looks like 2008 to me which is a 2-3 yrs old model to me. At that price, I could wait for a 2010 since we won't be dug out snow around here for quite a while yet.

I'm heading out for some skiing this afternoon so I can give it some hard thought on the way to the mountain.

I don't know what Bob does or does not sell his bikes for, other than my own deals with him which are not at issue here. I will say that I have never found him to be less reasonable than any other dealer and know that he follows up on any issues with the bike.

Not sure if there were any "2009" or "2010" Tesi 3Ds in the US as most I have seen were MSO as 2008. If Bob says he has the last new Carbonio and if you want one, then I guess you will wait to see if they bring in some 2010 or 2011 in Carbonio and then try to price them.

Not my issue. Just trying to provide you with the information you were seeking.

Dave

Just curious......what do you think the bike is worth?
