A Really Oddball

One of friends in OZ asked if I had any other odd (for the US anyhow) bikes in the collection, referring to the Honda MVX 250 3cyl two stroke I posted earlier. I do, the 'grown up' version of the MVX, a US titled (don't ask, don't tell) NSR400R, 400cc three, all original except for the red mirrors (original was black) down to the stickers on the tank.

I was wondering if you might have one of those in your collection. Up here in Canada we got them for one year (86'), in the HRC colour scheme (that's where the red mirrors come from). There were about 320 imported to Canada. The first one I saw in the flesh was one in the pits at our local track with Cali. plates on it, one of the first to our country and it was already being exported! What was the country of origin for your's, Europe? I have 55000 kms on mine it is still in excellent condition, I was able to get collector plate status for it last year! Have you had to get any parts for it? Pistons are unobtainium! I bought two wrecks to have a parts supply about 5 years ago. Are there any other strokers (RZ500 or RG500 etc) in your collection? I might have to change my holiday plans next summer to include Wisconsin if you keep tempting us with these pics.
BTW Why are we talking about Honda 2-strokes in a Bimota forum??????

Mine was imported from Germany by an airline pilot. It ended up with an Illinois title by the time I acquired it. Why are we discussing Honda 2 strokes here? I don't know, hum a few bars and I will fake it. Dave
